Common questions
How do I play?
Tap the ? on the welcome screen, or How to play on the level screen, for a quick illustrated guide. The short version: follow the suit of the first card; if you can't, play any card to strike, and the highest card of the suit picks up the pile. The last player holding cards is the Donkey.
How do I save my progress?
Sign in with Apple or Google, either on the welcome screen or in Settings → Account. Your coins and unlocked tables are then saved to your account, and come back when you sign in on a new phone or after reinstalling.
I reinstalled and lost my coins
If you played as a guest, your progress lived only on the phone and was removed with the app. If you'd signed in, sign in again with the same Apple or Google account and it will come back.
How do I delete my account?
In the game, open Settings → Account → Delete account. This permanently deletes your account and its saved progress from our servers. See the Privacy policy for details.
How do I turn off music, sound or vibration?
Open Settings (the gear on the level screen) and switch them off. The iPhone's silent switch also mutes the game.
Can I buy coins?
No. Coins are for play only. You earn them by winning games, from the daily gift, and by watching an ad in the coins sheet (up to three a day). They can't be bought, sold or exchanged for money.
Why do I see ads, and how do I remove them?
Ads keep the game free. After your first two games, an ad plays when you leave the results screen. Tap Go ad-free on the level screen (or Settings → Ads) to subscribe monthly or yearly and remove them. Watching an ad for extra coins stays available whenever you want it.
I subscribed, but I still see ads
Open Go ad-free and tap Restore purchases, making sure you're signed in to the same Apple ID you subscribed with. The subscription follows your Apple ID, not your game account.
How do I cancel my subscription?
On your iPhone, open Settings → your name → Subscriptions → Donkey Card Game, or tap Manage subscription on the Go ad-free page. It stays active until the end of the period you've paid for. Apple handles refunds at reportaproblem.apple.com.
How do I change ad tracking?
In iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking, switch Donkey on or off. Either way you'll see ads; tracking only makes them more relevant. In Europe and the UK you can also change your ad consent in the game under Settings → Ads → Privacy choices. See the Privacy policy.
